Do not heat the packs longer than the manufacturer recommends. Heating them incorrectly may damage the compresses. Always check the temperature before use. Overheating or applying the compresses for too long may result in injury. Do not use on sensitive skin or open wounds. Use only under adult supervision. Do not pierce and/or swallow the contents of the compresses. Do not fall asleep with the compresses on. The temperature of the compress should be such that it is warm to the touch, but not hot. Slight expansion of a properly heated compress is normal. If the compress swells like a balloon or bursts during excessive heating, immediately turn off the microwave, allow the compress to cool, and then carefully dispose of it in the trash. Do not reuse an overheated compress. Do not use on sensitive or injured skin or around stitches. Do not use if your skin's temperature perception is impaired (e.g., if you have local anesthetics or are taking painkillers). Do not use if you have circulation problems. In case of severe, long-term, or chronic pain, consult a doctor. Do not microwave the covers. In case of severe, persistent, or chronic pain, contact a doctor.
