Akuku® gel compresses are a product created out of concern for the well-being of women during breastfeeding. Made of non-toxic material, they do not contain latex, lead and bisphenol. The compresses can be used cold or warm, depending on your needs. The gel compress is covered on one side with a soft and delicate fabric that provides comfort and does not cause irritation.

 Warm use:
They help clear blocked milk ducts and provide relief from mastitis, as well as swollen, overcrowded breasts. They should be used immediately before feeding to facilitate milk flow. They can also be used before or during pumping to reduce pumping time by stimulating faster milk flow.

Preparation method: place the compress on the oven plate. Set the time according to the microwave power (700W - 16 seconds/1000W - 13 seconds/1250W - 11 seconds). Each compress should be heated separately. After checking the degree of heating of the compress, if necessary, the compress can be heated for an additional 5 seconds.

 

Cold use:
They bring relief to sore and swollen breasts due to overflow or mastitis. To prevent the wraps from sliding, they can be placed inside the bra.
Method of preparation: compresses should be placed in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Wraps should be applied with the side covered with fabric.

Use for a maximum of 20 minutes.

Do not put heavy objects on the compresses.

Battery packs should not be heated longer than recommended by the manufacturer. Heating contrary to the instructions may damage them. Always check the temperature of the compresses before use. Excessive heating or application for too long may lead to personal injury. Do not use on sensitive skin or open wounds. Use only under the supervision of an adult. Do not pierce and/or swallow the contents of the compresses. Do not fall asleep with compresses. If you experience severe, persistent, chronic pain, contact your doctor.
